Dear Mom

Dear Mom
Thank you for giving me life.
Even after the 3 days of labor,
and the 8 plus hours of pushing.
You know I love foreshadowing.

Dear Mom
Thank you for answering all my SOS calls.
Especially now, when the kids are crazy town,
and I'm drowning in laundry.
Thank you for saving me time and again.

Dear Mom
Thank you for teaching me that I
could be anything.
That I could do anything.
That what I wanted was all that mattered.

Dear Mom
Sorry I was the worst teenager emotionally.
I still don't have the best attitude.
I have two girls now,
so I'm sure I will get paid back 10 fold.
I'm putting in a request now for your help.

Me and my Mom
She estimates I'm about 5 months old.

Dear Mom
You are an amazing Grandma.
You are like the Patron Saint of Grandmas.
Thank you for loving my girls no matter how bratty they are.

Dear Mom
I should also mention that I appreciate
that you love me.
No matter how bratty I am.

Dear Mom
You made "working mom" look so easy.
How on earth did you find the time?

Dear Mom
Thank you for passing on the passion for reading.
I remember all the bed time stories you read.
Thanks for doing it all again when I was sick at 19.
You made Stephanie Plum come alive.

Dear Mom
Thanks for all the Christmases without cash.
The birthday parties on a budget.
The "how exciting is this" kind of adventures,
when money was a serious object.
I never knew, and was just as happy.
Now that I'm a mom, I know you
moved mountains before my eyes.

Dear Mom
I could serious write this blog forever.
You have given me a life rich in love and laughter.
You are my rock, my best friend, my heart.
I'm still learning motherhood lessons from you.
I know that I've got big shoes to fill.

Dear Mom
Happy Mother's day.
To say that I love you, is the biggest understatement of my life.

With Love,
Your sometimes darling daughter.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in bloggy land.
